Full disclosure: we're a competitor, so read this with the appropriate grain of salt. But we'll be straight with you, because Formspree is a good product and pretending otherwise would be transparent nonsense. They basically invented the point-your-form-at-a-URL category. Respect.
Where Formspree is good
Mature, reliable, lots of integrations — webhooks, Slack, Zapier, the works. If you need submissions flowing into seventeen other tools, Formspree's paid tiers are built for that and do it well.
Where it starts costing you
The free tier (50 submissions/month, as of this writing) is fine — same number as ours. The friction is what sits behind the paywall: spam filtering beyond the basics, multiple projects, and the features you discover you wanted in week two start at roughly $10/month and climb with tiers. None of it is unreasonable. It's just that most people arriving at a form backend need exactly one thing: messages in, spam out, email delivered.
Where NormForms fits
